Where We're Accepting Applications
What You'll Do
- Answer inbound calls for trades businesses — HVAC, plumbing, garage door, pest control, cleaning, and more — in their business name
- Book appointments directly into scheduling software (Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or similar)
- Manage client inboxes, follow up on estimates, send confirmations and reminders
- Update CRM records and log call summaries accurately after every interaction
- Send a clean end-of-day report to each client covering everything handled
What We're Looking For
- Clear, professional spoken and written English — callers must feel like they've reached the business directly
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet working environment for live calls
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with digital tools and scheduling software
- Ability to stay organized across multiple clients without things slipping
- Ability to commit to a defined service window aligned with your client's business hours — coverage requirements are agreed upon at the engagement level, not assigned by Emperor Assistants
- Self-starter — you manage your own time and don't need to be micromanaged
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or admin is a strong plus
Why This Role
This isn't a generic VA gig. You're not juggling 30 clients for a faceless agency — you're embedded in real businesses, handling calls that directly affect their revenue. Owners notice when things run well.
As you get comfortable, you can take on up to 3 clients simultaneously — increasing your monthly hours and income without changing what you do. Contractors who do this work well have a clear path to expanded scope and higher-volume engagements as we grow.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and cold call home-service businesses — HVAC, plumbing, pest control, garage door, cleaning, and more
- Run discovery conversations to identify where owners are losing revenue to missed calls and admin overload
- Present service packages and close new client accounts
- Hand off new clients to our operations network and stay involved through account retention
- Earn close bonuses on every deal plus ongoing monthly residuals for as long as your clients stay
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable on the phone — you don't avoid cold calls, you make them
- Previous B2B or service-based sales experience is required
- Self-directed and motivated by results, not micromanagement
- Professional communicator who can earn trust in the first 60 seconds
- Comfortable working in a performance-based compensation environment
- Coachable on process — ego doesn't close deals, consistency does
- Focused on long-term retention, not just the close
